    What does IKO do?

    IKO is used to manage your account in PKO Bank Polski - including Inteligo - on your phone. IKO combines the features of mobile banking with the possibility of making BLIK mobile payments:

    Can a Dual SIM Card (2 SIM cards) phone support IKO, where one of the cards is used to access Internet?

    Yes, it is possible to activate IKO on this type of phones. If you are using one of the SIM cards to access Internet, disconnect it and activate IKO connecting to the Internet (package data or wi-fi) via the main SIM card you are using to make voice calls. Once the app is activated, you can reinsert the Internet access SIM card and start using IKO.

    IKO may be used by persons older than 13, who meet one of the following criteria:

    Is it necessary to have a contract signed with a mobile operator to use IKO?

    No, IKO is available to customers of all national mobile operators.

    No, the application is only available for Polish SIM cards (prefix +48).

    Can IKO be used by minors, under 18?

    Yes, persons aged 13-18 years may use IKO, linking it to a PKO Konto Pierwsze account.

    Where can I pay using IKO?

    IKO may be used to pay in traditional retail outlets marked with the IKO or BLIK logo throughout Poland (find outlets on the map) and online, if among the payment options you see the IKO or BLIK logo or the logo of one of the payment aggregators: Dotpay, eCard, eService, Przelewy24, Transfer.pl and Blue Media. In addition, the application may be used to pay in PKO Bank Polski bill payment machines.

    Can I use IKO to pay abroad?

    IKO can be used to pay in Poland (BLIK and mobile contactless payments) and abroad (mobile contactless payments).

    Can I make a transfer to the phone number of a person who does not have an account in PKO Bank Polski or IKO?

    Yes. Mobile transfers are possible IKO of PKO Bank Polski and Inteligo customers and applications of Millennium Bank, mBank, ING Bank Śląski, BZ WBK, Orange Finanse, T-Mobile Usługi Bankowe, Alior Bank. The transfer recipient needs to have his or her bank's application installed and the phone number registered in the BLIK system, which allows the verification of the recipient's application. If the receiver does not have an application in any of these banks and his or her phone number is not registered, PKO Bank Polski will send on your behalf a text message informing about a pending transfer (waiting time 7 days), along with a link to IKO. If the recipient installs and activates the application that supports mobile transfers and registers his or her phone, e.g. IKO, money will be transferred to the recipient.     What is the BLIK voucher?

    A BLIK voucher is a unique 9-digit code for making offline mobile payments (i.e. without the need to launch IKO). It has nothing to do with a paper voucher. The voucher created in IKO can be used to pay in traditional shops and online stores and withdraw money from ATMs without connecting to the Internet and without the use of a payment card. The voucher may be transferred (e.g. by e-mail or text message) to another person who is not a IKO user. Any use of the BLIK voucher requires confirmation with the password for vouchers that can be set in the iPKO / Inteligo electronic banking. The password to vouchers should be made available also to the persons whom we give the voucher to.

    It is not required to use the entire value of the BLIK voucher, the remaining amount is returned to the account of the person who created the voucher in IKO.

    Can one BLIK voucher be used several times?

    No. BLIK voucher is unique and becomes invalid after use. Another voucher is needed to complete another transaction. The IKO user can have up to 2 active vouchers.

    What happens if I don't use the entire amount of the BLIK voucher in one transaction?

    In this situation the unused part of the amount of the BLIK voucher will be returned to the account of the person who created the voucher in IKO.

    How many active BLIK vouchers can I have at one time?

    From September 29, 2021, you can have a maximum of 2 active BLIK vouchers at the same time.

    Are the payments using IKO visible in my account history in PKO Bank Polski or Inteligo?

    Yes, they will be visible in the account history both in IKO and electronic banking.

    How many accounts can I connect to IKO?

    You can have assigned one account in PKO Bank Polski or one account in Inteligo at the same time to one phone number. The application does not support multiple accounts at the same time. If you want to change the account assigned to your phone number, change the settings in IKO tab in iPKO / Inteligo electronic banking and activate your IKO again.

    I have a shared account. How does IKO work in such case?

    Each of the joint owners can activate IKO for a shared account in PKO Bank Polski / Inteligo, and each activation must be carried out on another phone number.

    Due the fact that each of the phone numbers will be linked to the same account, co-owners will not be able to make mobile transfer between each other.

    I replaced the SIM card in the phone / moved the SIM card to another phone. What happens to IKO?

    • Replacing the SIM Card with a duplicate (the phone number stays the same): no need to download IKO again
    • A new SIM card with a new phone number: IKO must be activated again.
    • Existing SIM card in a new phone: If you replaced the SIM card to another phone, you must download IKO and link it to  your phone number

    I am using IKO associated to the account in PKO Bank Polski or Inteligo. What should I do if I change my phone number??

    If you change the phone number you must uninstall IKO from your phone and cancel it in iPKO / Inteligo Internet banking. Then you need to re-install IKO and go through the activation process of Internet banking by entering a new phone number.

    What is the cost of withdrawal using BLIK code / BLIK voucher in Euronet ATMs?

    The fee for cash withdrawals in Euronet ATMs is charged in accordance with the valid tariff of fees and commissions. The Bank may apply a temporary promotion relating to the amount of fees.

    What is the cost of BLIK withdrawal using IKO in ATM?

    The fee for cash withdrawals in ATMs is charged in accordance with the valid tariff of fees and commissions. The Bank may apply a temporary promotion relating to the amount of fees.

    Can BLIK replace IKO?

    No. BLIK is not a mobile app, but a mobile payment system which will be available in IKO application as BLIK codes and BLIK vouchers.

    Will I have to use two applications - IKO and BLIK?

    No. BLIK is not a mobile app, but a mobile payment system which will be available in IKO application as BLIK codes and BLIK vouchers. If you have the latest version of IKO, only the names will change:

    • for payments and cash withdrawals in ATM, IKO will give you a 6-digit BLIK code instead of “IKO code”,
    • the name of the online payment "Pay with IKO" changes to "Pay with BLIK",
    • Payments and cash withdrawals in ATMs can be made in places marked both with IKO and BLIK.

    If I am a customer of two banks that support BLIK, which application will I be able to use? Will any of them will be the default one?

    You can use both applications at the same time and the two applications will support the full functionality offered.

    Can I pay by BLIK code in stores with an IKO sticker?

    Yes, if you have the current version of IKO, you will be able to pay by BLIK code / BLIK voucher from IKO in retail and service outlets bearing both the IKO and BLIK logo.

    Can the IKO user make transactions in retail and service outlets and ATMs bearing both the IKO and BLIK logo?

    The holder of the current version of IKO will be able to make transactions using the BLIK code / BLIK voucher from IKO in retail and service outlets bearing both the IKO and BLIK logo and withdraw cash from all ATMs supporting IKO/BLIK.

    How many traditional stores, online stores and ATMs will accept BLIK payments?

    At present, BLIK transactions are accepted by several thousand entities - the locator of retail and service outlets accepting BLIK payments s available in IKO. In addition, BLIK code / BLIK voucher cash withdrawals will be implemented in over 15,000 ATMs supporting withdrawals without a card, belonging to the following networks:

    • PKO Bank Polski;
    • Alior Bank (Euronet ATMs placed inside bank branches);
    • Bank Millennium;
    • Bank Zachodni WBK;
    • Credit Agricole Bank Polska (Euronet ATMs placed inside bank branches);
    • Euronet;
    • Getin Bank (Euronet ATMs placed inside bank branches);
    • Idea Bank (Euronet ATMs placed inside bank branches);
    • ING Bank Śląski;
    • mBank (Euronet ATMs placed inside bank branches);

    Which phone operating systems will be compatible with IKO including BLIK mobile payments system?

    BLIK will be available for mobile phones that support the latest IKO, because it is one of the features of IKO - see the technical requirements of IKO

    Can the customers of the former Nordea Bank Polska use BLIK?

    Customers of the former Nordea Bank Polska, who joined the ranks of PKO Bank Polski customers can use IKO with BLIK.

    Should I submit a complaint about the mobile payment to my bank or to PSP? How long will it take to consider my complaint?

    Complaints relating to BLIK transactions made through IKO will be accepted by PKO Bank Polski, while customer of other banks should submit their complaints to their respective banks about problems arising from the use of their applications -  more information about handling of complaints in PKO Bank Polski

    Will it be possible to make mobile transfers to customers of banks participating in the BLIK system? How long such a transfer takes?

    Yes. But if the transfer recipient does not have an application that supports BLIK interbank transfers or his/her number is not registered as the default one to receive mobile transfers, he/she will receive a text message with a link to the site where IKO can be downloaded and containing a message that a money transfer is awaiting. If the recipient downloads IKO and activates it, funds will be transferred to his/her account. If not, the money will be returned to the account of the originator after 7 days from sending the transfer.

    The mobile transfer is implemented immediately and does not depend on the Elixir session.

    Are BLIK payments safe?

    Both IKO and BLIK mobile payment contain a number of security measures.

    • Login to IKO is possible only with a PIN code assigned during the activation of IKO.
    • Transactions made with the BLIK code always require confirmation - with Accept button or PIN code, while transactions confirmed by BLIK voucher can be executed after confirming it with the password to vouchers which the application user sets in iPKO / Inteligo electronic banking.

    Please note that the password to vouchers BLIK is confidential. If the BLIK voucher is transferred to another person, we recommend that you do not do this at the same time. You can for example send the 9-digits BLIK voucher by a text message, and the password to vouchers orally or by email.

    Will the ATMs of financial institutions participating in the BLIK system support IKO customers?

    Yes, PKO Bank Polski (including Inteligo) customers, who have the active IKO, will be able to withdraw cash using BLIK codes and vouchers from IKO in ATMs supporting withdrawals without card:

    • PKO Bank Polski;
    • Alior Bank (Euronet ATMs placed inside bank branches);
    • Bank Millennium;
    • Bank Zachodni WBK;
    • Credit Agricole Bank Polska (Euronet ATMs placed inside bank branches);
    • Euronet;
    • Getin Bank (Euronet ATMs placed inside bank branches);

    Do you charge any additional commissions for using BLIK?

    Some operations carried out through BLIK are subject to commissions specified in the Tariff of bank fees and commissions. The fees vary depending on the type of account you have. Fees may be charged for example on withdrawals of cash from the ATM using the BLIK code or BLIK voucher or on transfer orders.

    Which phones support the contactless payment features of IKO?

    You must have a phone with Android version 4.4 or higher and supporting the NFC feature. Contactless payments in IKO do not work on phones with other operating systems.

    What requirements should I meet to make mobile contactless payments with IKO?

    To start making contactless payments by phone, you only need to have:

    • active IKO
    • telephone with Android version 4.4 with NFC
    • a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card in PKO Bank Polski (Inteligo) for retail customers
    • enabled “Contactless payments” in IKO

    Note: there is no need to have a special SIM card to make NFC payments.

    The contactless payments feature is enabled in IKO, but I cannot make payments. What happened?

    To make mobile contactless payments, check if you have an active NFC on your phone. If not, enable it in the phone settings. In addition, in phone settings open the NFC management module (on some phones it is called "Tap and pay") and set the priority of contactless payments for application IKO.

    Do I have to have the NFC feature enabled on my phone all the time to make mobile contactless payments?

    No, it is enough to have this feature enabled while making payments.

    An error is displayed on the terminal at the time of contactless payment - what should I do?

    Before you put your phone to the payment card reader, make sure that

    • you have NFC enabled on your phone,
    • you don’t have in your phone case any payment cards, proximity sticker, chip card (for instance garage or office access card).

    If during the contactless payment with IKO the terminal displays the message "Approach only one card", "Reading error, use another card", "Try again", "Use another card", "Use another reader”, bring the phone slowly again to the terminal (no sudden moves) and wait for the beep of the reader. If you continue to experience errors, contact the Bank.

    I am already using another application for contactless payments - will the contactless payments with IKO work?

    If you are using another mobile application for contactless payments, you can also use the IKO contactless payments feature. Then enter the phone settings, open the NFC management module (on some phones it is called "Tap and pay") and set the contactless payments priority for IKO.

    How to make contactless payments by phone? What do the colours of the wave (contactless payments) mean?

    The situation when the NFC on your phone is enabled, but you are not logged in to IKO,

    • Hold the phone to the reader. Mobile contactless payments up to PLN 50 are possible without PIN.
    • With payments above PLN 50 you must be logged on to the IKO and re-hover your phone above the reader.
    • The payment does not need Internet access.

    The situation when the NFC on your phone is enabled and you are logged in to IKO (you are connected to the Internet), bring the phone to the terminal.

    • After logging into IKO you can make contactless payments without PIN up to the limit of available funds on the account for 15 seconds following the login. The NFC icon in the application is green.
    • After 15 seconds the contactless payments icon changes to blue and operations above PLN 50 require a PIN.
    • You can carry out contactless payments up to PLN 50 without PIN.

    Do the contactless payments with IKO count towards the exemption from monthly card fee?

    Yes

    Do I have to have a phone in a particular mobile network to make mobile contactless payments with IKO?

    No

    Can I make mobile contactless payments with IKO on “rooted” phones?

    No. Contactless payments in IKO are activated in conjunction with a PKO Bank Polski payment card. In view of the requirements of this payment organization, contactless payments cannot be enabled on phones with the right to save files in the root directory (so-called rooted phones). Once the new IKO mobile application is downloaded, the mobile payments icon (a wave) will be displayed and disappear. Other IKO features, including BLIK payments, will still be active.

    Can the contactless payments sticker interfere with mobile contactless payments with IKO?

    Yes, if you want to make mobile contactless payments, remove the sticker from the phone. The last 4 digits of the card number, visible on the confirmation of contactless payment made by phone, are different from my card number. On the confirmation of contactless payment made by phone, we do not present the four last four digits of the card number - the string of digits is a dedicated number assigned to the payment card you used as a source for contactless payments by phone. If you return the the goods and the seller will want to reimburse money on the card you used to make payment, you have to give them (despite the different digits on the confirmation) a plastic payment card.
