Validation of ZTM Warsaw tickets
- How to validate your ticket?
- Choose the Validate ticket option (You can find it on the screen confirming purchase of a new ticket or in the Details of a previously purchased ticket).
You will be transferred to the QR code reader in the IKO app: point the camera in your telephone at the QR code in the vehicle and wait for the screen with validation confirmation - You have 10 seconds to validate the ticket. If you fail to scan the ticket within 10 seconds, you can validate it again after 5 minutes.
- Choose the Validate ticket option (You can find it on the screen confirming purchase of a new ticket or in the Details of a previously purchased ticket).
- You can extend a short-term ticket during the ride, without validating it again, i.e. scanning the QR code. Just go to the active ticket Details and select “Extend ticket validity.” You can choose the same or a completely different type of ticket.
- Where can the QR codes for validating tickets purchased in IKO be found?
- in the subway: by the ticket gateways and by the lifts, i.e. areas where you enter the ticket zone. You open the subway gate with a QR code from your ticket in the application
- inside a bus or a tram: opposite the entrance in a visible place. You can scan the QR code from a distance of 2-3 metres, so you do not have to come near it.
- How does the QR code for ticket validation look like?
On every sticker with the code, you can see a note “validate the ticket from the application.” On the other hand, the QR codes in the subway bear the number of the subway station.
You can purchase any number of tickets in advance - you can see them in the “To be validated” section. You can validate just 1 ticket - it will then be transferred to the Active section.
